Buffet Construction: This European inspired wooden buffet is handcrafted with natural preservation in mind. This buffet was built using only hardwoods grown and harvested from tree farms, and is guaranteed not to come from any of the world's endangered rainforests. The wood used to create this buffet is harvested from mature parawood trees. Parawood is most commonly valued in furniture making for its minimal shrinkage, beautiful color and dense grain. As it was once an indigenous plant to the Amazon, parawood has since been planted as a sustainable crop for furniture usage in numerous tropical countries. Southeast Asia is now the main producer of parawood, as Brazil no longer plays a significant role in providing parawood. The amount of sustainable or replenishable tree farm timber available in Asia makes parawood one of the most important exports to that region.
